Seedfork's blog: Mostly just photos...

Rainy and dreary today, not much wind. Should be nicer later in the day with a high of 52 degrees.
There is not much going on in the garden, the vegetables are starting to grow a little, my newly indoor planted seeds only have tomatoes that have sprouted so far. My other tomatoes froze in the 20 degree temps the past week, they were out in the cold frame and had made it though some cold spells, but for some reason could not make it through this last cold snap. The Cosmos did fine, but the Coleus did not. No big deal, coleus grow so fast here in the warm weather, just planted them mostly out of boredom anyhow. But I am way late this year on my tomato plants, just did not have the drive to baby them this year. I think because I could not find the 'Early Treat' seeds I normally plant and just did not have much faith in the ones I planted from the get go. Still not a sign of a pepper plant germinating.
I walked out in the garden with the camera today and took some photos just to remind me what is going on at this time of year. NOT MUCH!

Purple Coneflowers are beginning to grow, some stay green all year and some seem to go dormant here. Don't know much about that.
