AllMixedUp's blog: Dipping My Toes in the Water

I have maintained a gardening blog on Daves Garden (DG) and another one on Blogspot for a while now, but I'm not big on self-promotion so I often feel like I am just writing to myself.  I don't mind that because it's a good way to order my thoughts, chronicle my endeavors, and learn from my experiences. 

But sometimes I do miss the back-and-forth communication between a writer and readers and I've long thought that the blogs on DG are missing one important thing: the ability to interact.  The articles on that site allow this and I suggested that they incorporate that feature onto their blogs but it sounds like it was too much of a headache to tackle for a perceived low-gain result. 

So here I am today, dipping my toes in the water of this new web site's blog feature.  I plan to give it a fair shot.  I will write mostly about my gardening experiences but I will also write about some of the business aspects of gardening.  I've grown very interested in how social media and gardening intersect.  I've also become quite interested in the competition between independent garden centers and the corporate giants.  And, in its own way, garden blogging has become one of my favorite topics to discuss as well so I imagine that from time to time I will share some of the great blogs I come across or write about what is taking place in the blogosphere.
