Pulled the last 2 remaining plants out 2 weeks ago. Cleanup is done. I threw away all my cages and posts. I will replace them with new next year. All in all a disappointing season all around. The tomatoes did horrible and even the flowers were less than spectacular this year.

And so are the tomatoes. After a promising start, the season is ending way too soon. Our rainy weather combined with heat & humidity took a big toll on the plants. Last week I pulled 3 plants out. Will let the fruit that is set ripen and then will rip out the rest of the plants. That is if they stay alive long enough for the fruit to get ripe!
Plan B- pick fruit to bring in to ripen. Rip out plants!
But what we had was very good and we did have enough to share with Justus & Betsy. It will be disappointing to not have tomatoes thru Sept./Oct.
Always next year.
