I have moved to Romford and have some southern facing steps. I also have one southern facing door and windowsill inside, and two western windowsills.

[...my tulip bulbs being forced. First time I have ever tried this!]
Posted on Dec 24, 2012 9:34 AM

Hey guys, I have forced some Darwin Hybrid and Queen of the night Tulip bulbs. I have no idea if it has worked properly.
The bulbs were put in the refrigerator for around 2 months and then I planted them outside in pots. The roots started growing and then the green tip emerged from the top of the bulbs. So I brought them inside, and their green shoots have been getting taller everyday. I have read that this is going to take 8-10 weeks to bloom now. Is this correct?
Also, here are a few pictures of them. Let me know what you think!

[...my little piece of outside.]
Posted on Jul 29, 2012 1:53 PM

Unfortunately, I haven't got a garden, so I've had to improvise with pots/containers on my window ledge. This is what I have out there now..

[...this is what I have to work with! The gardens below the roof are my neighbours. I only have the upstairs of the house.] :(
