Hey guys, I have forced some Darwin Hybrid and Queen of the night Tulip bulbs. I have no idea if it has worked properly.
The bulbs were put in the refrigerator for around 2 months and then I planted them outside in pots. The roots started growing and then the green tip emerged from the top of the bulbs. So I brought them inside, and their green shoots have been getting taller everyday. I have read that this is going to take 8-10 weeks to bloom now. Is this correct?
Also, here are a few pictures of them. Let me know what you think!
Unfortunately, I haven't got a garden, so I've had to improvise with pots/containers on my window ledge. This is what I have out there now..
[...this is what I have to work with! The gardens below the roof are my neighbours. I only have the upstairs of the house.] :(
[...this is beggining of July.]
[...and this is the end of July, things are growing and are very happy!]
[...and this is them at the end of August, doing brilliantly.]
[...this is what is out there today, a few days later!]
[...today is Friday, the 7th of September, and here are my Semps after I added shells around them. They were drying out too fast so I am hoping this will keep some moisture in the soil!]
