Well I started buildling a new greenhouse yesterday,using some glass garage door I got a few years back.It will be 16'x10',I'm building the frame out of spare pipe,I had laying around.My hoop frame is ok for spring and summer,come winter too hard to heat,so the glass one once I finish it,I'll put in a wood heater,sense I have alot of wood around here.Maybe gravel for the floor.
I'm waiting on spring,already started tomato,peppers inside,My desert roses seedling are taking a rough hit this winter,even being inside in the sunroom with extra lighting and heat, lost about thiry percent of them,cause unknown at this time,shrinking up and rottening alway.I used water sparing.as always during the winter.Strange because one plant beside it is ok.I guess thats what get for trying to raise a 1,000 seedlings this year for resale.
Well I started on a new Dragon style pot today,I don't really like the stoneware clay I got from Highwaterclay,the drying time is way to long for me,but I guess I'll get the hang of using it.
Started working on a forest slab pot today,I have to go to highwaterclay tomorrow,to pick up some more clay.I went to the 26th annual potters market saturday,saw nothing but dishes and cups,no bonsai pots,everything there was nice,but no one was doing anything i was interested in. They were selling stuff left and right there.
So I'm going to see if I can get into the little circle and see if I can sell some bonsai and regular pots. First I need to find out when the next show is going to be.
Well its turned real cold here in the mountains of N.C. got high winds I guess its coming from the storm Sandy from our coast its about 36 degree and with the wind its feels about 20 degree,all I know is its cold,I can stand the cold but hate the wind.
