The flowers of this lily are significantly larger than those of Tiny Orange Sensation (I wondered if I had confused them somehow.) As well, Tiny Parrot has a rim of yellow-gold around the edge of each petal. So it is fairly easy to tell the two apart after all. This lily makes an amazing display for such a small plant.

Tiny Parrot and Tiny Orange Sensation look very similar in photos. From what I can tell, the main difference is that Tiny Parrot is slighly less orange, more of a golden yellow, behind the red stippling. I have the two planted near each other, so I will be able to compare closely when they both open. This lily's buds are quite a bit larger than Tiny Orange Sensation's also, at least to date.

Pure white, immaculate form, up to 6 blooms per stem. A dainty vision with pink roses.

As you can see in my photo, these did need to be staked, but I forgive them. Look at those flowers! These are first-year plants in full sun, in a new bed of clay amended with leaf compost. Maybe they'll be stronger next year, maybe not. I don't mind staking, although I'll probably find a cage rather than the bamboo stakes this year.

At some point in spring a few of the five-foot stems were chopped in half by deer, so these are not deer resistant--at least in spring when everything must look like a meal to hungry deer. But the remaining stems produced blooms and they were fabulous: creamy, velvety, curvy, feminine and sooo fragrant!
