I love Hidden Valley Hibiscus! It was a great find! My plants all arrived healthy and were handled with care. I love the large selection of hybrid hibiscus plants. I never knew there were so many color combinations and varieties. They have a really detailed selection of care topics and troubleshooting. They have all the items you should need to care for your plant and to get the best blooms. No more googling for help! I head to their website first when I have any concerns or questions about these beautiful exotic plants!
I personally have a black thumb by nature. I kill almost every plant I touch! I'm cursed. But I haven't been cursed since I started getting my plants from hidden valley. I grew up with a backyard full of hibiscuses, plumerias, iris' and much more. My mother has a very large collection of tropical plants that weigh over 50 pounds a pot! It is hard work but she makes it look easy. I won't ever have a yard like my mom.. but I'm trying to get a small little paradise of my own.
I have a total of 7 hibiscus plants and bushes. All potted and stored in the garage from around November to February or so depending on the crazy Texas weather. I have a schizophrenia hibiscus I purchased last Spring as well as a purple hybrid plant called Stormy Night. I bought 4" plants that were ready to be repotted on arrival. They matured fast and thrived even through the unusual "Texas Blizzard" we had this year. Below zero temperatures is something we rarely experience but we had that and more! It killed off most of our in ground plants and bushes. Killed unkillable plants.. and my hibiscus were inside of our uninsulated garage that on a normal year is the perfect for them.. this year they experienced Below 60 degree temps and still survived! The plants became infested with aphids while in the garage. I thought for sure I had lost them all! But luckily I had purchased the fertilizer, pest control products and followed their care instructions and my aphid problem disappeared and my plants thrived! They bloomed once by the first winter. I was not expecting blooms until at least the following Spring! This year they are blooming like wildfire!!! I highly recommend joining their newsletter and setting a bookmark! They are the only hibiscus retailers (?) that I use now. Their products and prices are comparable and competitive but even better.. you know you are getting the best! No bugs hitching a ride or dehydrated neglected overpriced plants that won't make it to next year! I've had all that happen with previous purchases from other hibiscus retailers. IMO Hidden Hibiscus is the only place I trust when it comes to beautiful blooms and just to keep my beautiful plants beating the odds and not be a victim of my cursed thumb 👍🏻🌺🌸
