I'm with Halli! Look at the colored pictures elsewhere then order here for lots less! They do have a colored picture of each kind on their website. It's super easy to order there. Being able to choose the size of package with lower per unit prices on larger packages is a big plus.

They even have tables in their catalog with longevity expectations for each kind of seeds, both vegetables and flowers. Who else tells you that? You'll know you can order 2 or 3 years' worth of beet seeds, but not onions. Also each packet is labeled with the germination percentage and test date - another thing you won't see from the big companies that charge more. This spring I received a refund on a packet of onion seeds when their later retesting showed they were not up to their standards. What company has ever done that?

You can expect high germination, true-to-type seeds. Honest and informative descriptions that help guide you to the best choices for your needs and growing conditions. They'll actually tell you the cons in addition to the pros.

Everything is GMO free. Fedco supports organic growing and offers many organic seed varieties. They have an Organic Supplies division, a bulbs and tubers Division (Moose Tubers) and a tree and live plant division.

The catalog has some political humor. You can probably guess which way it leans. It probably costs them some business. I chalk it up to Yankee stubbornness and independence.

Free shipping is offered above a minimum order. Otherwise it has flat rate shipping for packet seeds, for a lower fee than most. Some sites charge more for shipping the more you spend. Why should a $10 packet of 20 tomato seeds raise the shipping more than a $5 two -ounce one of beans? Irrational customer gouging. Not at Fedco!

I've been ordering seeds from Fedco for quite a few years now. They are relatively inexpensive and shipping is free on orders over $30 (mine always are!). Their offerings are especially suited for the northeast, which I appreciate. Customer service is very, very good. Highly recommended.

Yes, my "go to" place for garden seeds, books and info. Even though I'm in zone 7 in NC, their descriptions enable me to choose varieties that will do well here.

No one matches their prices. I have worn their catalog out from reading and enjoying their delightful pen and ink depictions of plants and other whimsical drawings.

I may look at other catalogs for the pretty photos, then order from Fedco at 1/2 the cost!

I discovered this company this year when I was searching for a bean variety called "Limelight." After ordering I quickly received an acknowledgment that stated the seeds would be shipped in 2 weeks, and received them as promised. LOTS of open-pollinated varieties. This will likely be a major seed source for me in the future.

I ordered seeds from Fedco in 2010. Service was prompt, great germination rates on the seeds, and you can't beat the prices.

I've ordered from Fedco countless times and I'm always satisfied. They have an outstanding selection of seeds, especially heirloom and open pollinated.

I really like how you can customize how many seeds you are ordering for each variety. You can get seed in small packets for under a dollar, or huge envelopes with several pounds. This is a fantastic service they offer.

I've also ordered sunroots from their moose tubers store and was completely satisfied. Highly recommended!
