I always buy my seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. Over the years they have improved immensely and their seeds are fresh and sprout fast. I especially recommend the marigold seeds and the calendula. We grow and harvest these seeds and many others. I am growing now the kohlrabi purple in my farm Daddy containers and they are doing excellent. We also grow most of the nasturtiums they sell. These nasturtium seeds have done very well in partial shade in our garden and have reseeded having many more plants.

As a new gardener I only ordered a small amount of seeds from Baker Creek but they still threw in a free packet for me. With free shipping the overall cost was very reasonable! As I learn more and plant more I'll definitely be ordering from them again.

What can I say? It's Baker Creek!

A large, varied assortment of open-pollinated, many heirloom plant seeds. I'm primarily a vegetable gardener and they have a vast assortment to choose from. The order process is painless and shipping is...FREE!!!! And usually they throw in a free packet of seeds! As far as I know, they only sell home-garden size seed packets so order enough to make it worthwhile for them! Also, occasionally they have "charity" sales where they contribute the proceeds of sales, for say a weekend, to a specific charity. The most recent sale of this type was to help India during their recent skyrocketing COVID-19 wildfire. Baker Creek is not only rareseeds.com but also a rare company that has a big heart!!! AAA+++

I've bought a variety of seeds from Baker Creek over the past half-year, and so far I've had nothing but positive experiences. All of the seeds arrive undamaged, I've gotten a 95%+ germination rate on them, and the prices are affordable. Definitely a place I'll be buying from again.

The online catalog is beautiful and offers a huge variety and some unusual items from all over the world that look fun to try. There are many user reviews too, which can be helpful. Right now, the online ordering has free shipping. I will be ordering.

First time purchaser and completely happy. Order arrived quickly. Have yet to sow the seeds. Will update comment with germination success. However, with all the positive comments on this company, I don't think germination is going to be a problem.

Baker Creek is one of the 3 heirloom seed companies I rely on to add to my resume of seeds as I grow as a gardener. I have always received quality seeds with a high germination rate. I have also been to three of their annual planting festivals. So, whether you are looking to attend a festival with workshops or just want a few seeds, look them up.

I bought 8 artichoke crowns from this company. They were huge, and plainly showed which side was up, which all the previous crowns I had bought did not. After less than a week, all 8 have appeared above ground. They also have an amazing variety of seeds.

Baker Creek has an amazing selection of seeds, including some varieties that are unique and not found elsewhere. While ordering on-line is very quick and easy, their catalog is a work of art with most amazing photography. Very enjoyable to peruse on a winter day while planning your garden. Their shipping has been very prompt and with reasonable fees. Germination on seeds has been excellent.

Great feedback to the customers and nearly perfect germination rates for the seeds that I have ordered from them rate them as "wonderful" to me!

I always look forward to the new catalogs and visit their catalog throughout the year for information about varieties I'm interested in, mostly because they seem to have a very vocal customer base that provides many reviews on products.

My daughter loves their colorful catalog, and the fact that their little girls are in there made an impression on her, too.

Some seeds may be pricey (I'm not sure), but I've never been disappointed by the amount of seed or germination rates, either.

I love buying my seeds from here! Great quality seeds and helpful instructions on the packaging. I like that I can find unusual and hard-to-find varieties here and experiment. I love looking through the catalog also. Makes it hard to narrow down my choices!

I buy most of my winter squash from Bakers creek! I also love their wide variety in all categories that you don't find on other seed sites! But my number-1 reason for using their seed is that they have taken the safe seed pledge, meaning they are organic and GMO free!

I've been so pleased with Baker Creek for 6 months. Most of the seeds have germinated (near 100% or 9/10 seeds). I cant wait to ramp up my production to take advantage of their discounts.

I'm a newbie gardener. I've kept a little diary this winter and every Baker Creek seed I've planted in the greenhouse has sprouted quickly and done great. The other brands I've bought from the big box store haven't done well at all. I am sold on their quality. I love their business philosophy. Looking forward to receiving figs, mulberry and a lot of other new and unique seeds.

I just recently submitted an order to them and have ordered from them in the past. Their shipping rates are very reasonable ... much less than most companies. The quality of the seeds is always great ... never a disappointment.

Seeds shipped just a couple of days after placing order.

I live about 50 miles from them, so we get to visit their festivals. Always a good time. I order all my heirlooms from them. This year I had close to 100% germination rate, starting indoors. Excellent folks to deal with, and excellent products too. Highly recommended.

I've been ordering from Baker Creek for 4 years and plan on doing so for many years to come. I also am able to keep seeds from year to year with excellent results. Even with saving seeds I can always find new and different varieties to buy

All I can say is EXCELLENT .... VERY 'personable' customer service as well. I have ordered a few times from them and the one time I called about a 'shorted' tomato seed pack (I had enough and told her that it was just a 'heads up' phone call), they not only did NOT question it, but they also sent another package of that variety AND one they thought I might like to 'try' (they checked my original order).

Excellent service and prompt polite correspondence. Shopping on their website is a breeze. Good quality seeds that germinate quickly. Good selection of heirlooms.
All of this means a first class rating to me!

These folks are always first on my list of places to look at for seeds each year. They have a great variety, excellent descriptions, and generous packages. The gift package they include is never something I would have chosen for myself, and almost always something I enjoy trying out.

They do have varieties I don't see elsewhere. And they have BEAUTIFUL photos in their catalogs and on their pkts. I love 'em.

I also found that their catalog might promise only a small number of seeds in each pkt, but then they often put in a very generous number instead! I have gotten pkts from them with two or even three times as many seeds as promised, but always at least the number promised plus a few.

Very satisfied with the two seed packets I ordered, a rare crookneck winter squash and older watermelon. From now on this is the first company I think of when anyone mentions searching for unusual or older varieties. Fun to just browse their site.

I've been ordering from Jere and company for more than 10 years and have always received good and consistent product from him. They always ship in that yellow padded envelope and they always include a free packet of seeds. It has happened at times in the past that if they are out of a variety, they include a couple of dollars (cash!) in the envelope.

The best thing about Baker Creek is their excellent selection of heirloom vegetables. I have always especially loved their selection of winter squashes and pumpkins.
