Paul is an absolute joy to talk with, and his daylilies are beautiful. He has opened the nursery as a wedding venue that offers rolling hills and mountain views for remarkable photos.
I have visited him in May for the last three years and I'm always treated as family. Last year he hosted rising seniors at the local high school to take senior photos for their yearbook. Who does that??
He gladly shares his knowledge and is very active in the local community and schools.

Slightly Different Nursery’s Paul Owen has a goal of creating tough, cold-hardy daylilies with large blooms and rapid reblooming. That really struck home to me.

I placed an order this spring and was thrilled to receive great additional gift plants and fans that were very large and healthy. So far the daylilies have lived up to the top-notch expectations I could not help but have for them.

Paul at Slightly Different Nursery is an angel. His personality is engaging, his customer service is impeccable, and his day lilies are amazing. He was especially understanding and helpful to me during a particularly difficult time when we were choosing a daylily for my father. I cannot recommend him enough.

Paul really is a guy that gives his all: friendly, helpful, thoughtful, great speaker, great businessman, and community activist. As if this weren't enough, how about those incredible daylilies! Plus, there is a price range to fit most budgets. Super pleased with what I have received.

Paul Owen is a delight to deal with. The "Name a Daylily" program on his website is unique and special. The plants he sent me were very robust. I received them in April this year and they are already putting on scapes to bloom. I highly recommend " Slightly Different Nursery".

We have purchased several of Paul's Tets. They are fantastic. They grow well for us in zone 4 and the branching and bud count is terrific!! Not to mention the customer service is perfect. He is a super enthusiastic speaker and a fantastic auctioneer. Any club needing a speaker should consider having him!

Paul is someone I enjoy buying daylilies from. Super friendly, very helpful, and always a "thank you." I have purchased quite a few, and his dips are my favorites.
