I bought half of my heirloom seeds from TomatoFest and they all germinated with no issue. I plan to order from them again.

I ordered five packets of seeds and they sent two bonus packets. One was a heat-tolerant variety (which I didn't know existed!), Porter. Learning more about heat resistant varieties should help me have a better yield!

There are few companies specializing in one type of seed product. TomatoFest does this with tomatoes. Their website is so much fun to look through. Also, they will actually answer a question, which is how I get recommendations for tomatoes that grow better in TX heat.

I've placed several orders with TomatoFest and have had prompt shipping and excellent germination. Their website is very easy to browse, as you can search by type or color of tomato, and the selection is fantastic. I love the information they provide on their tomatoes, especially when they include comments about taste, etc. Their seeds are reasonably priced, and they often run a sale in late Dec/early January on some seeds. Shipping has been prompt.

I love this site! Not only do they offer a huge selection of open-pollinated/heirloom tomatoes, but they also offer information, such as the back story on the Julia Child heirloom tomato. The seeds are grouped by "paste tomatoes," "determinate tomatoes," "dwarf tomatoes," "indoor container tomato seeds," "heart-shaped tomatoes," etc. Prices are reasonable and shipping is prompt. I highly recommend TomatoFest for anyone buying tomato seeds!

This is a terrific site if you grow "organic" heirloom tomatoes from seed. I have tried about 10 different varieties, and I have had very successful results in my mountain garden here in Vermont. Here is a small excerpt from his "About me":

"Gary and Dagma Lacey currently grow more than 600 varieties of certified organic, heirloom tomatoes, many originating from seeds sourced from family farms around the world. They also cherish and share the tomato histories and family stories that accompany the generations of tomato seed saving."

When you order your seeds from Tomato Fest, Gary also sends a bonus packet or two of heirloom seeds along with your order. Fabulous site!

Oodles of choices, detailed descriptions, specials, great prices, excellent quality.
It's a mom-and-pop operation, growing mostly their own seeds..
