The Green Pages: Select Seeds (E-Commerce Companies)

First time ordering plants from them, and I am highly pleased! The shipping was fast even though I'm on the other side of the country. The communication was impeccable, the plants were packaged perfectly! Best of all was the size and health of the plants, bigger than other online nurseries I've ordered from. I will continue to order from Select Seeds, very impressed!

Select seeds is a great source of seeds, but it's their plants that really impress me. Packing is near perfect. Shown are 3 coleus and 2 coneflowers that were just unpacked. No loose soil or damaged leaves. Good job communicating also.

I've been buying seeds (mostly) and plants for several years from Select Seeds. I've always been pleased with their seeds and have found many you can't get elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised with my first plant order a few years ago. Very well packed and the size and health of the plants were great. Highly recommend them for both seeds and plants.

Fantastic company! Great selection of heirloom plants. I found them because I wanted some Heliotrope--how long since you've heard of them? I was thrilled when I found them there, and also ordered an Asclepias and an Allium. Since they were getting ready to end plant shipping for the season, all were on sale, but even if they hadn't been, the regular prices were very reasonable. All plants arrived in excellent condition in the most protective packaging I've ever seen. I just can't recommend this company highly enough! Check them out, and I feel sure you'll be impressed.

Excellent company selling mostly seeds but plants as well. Recent 60 page catalog had over 15 pages of plants, Some items can be either seed or plant or both.
They specialize in rare and heirloom varieties. Seeds are non GMOs and untreated. Plants are from their own farm or greenhouse.
Long rated as one of the best internet companies to do business with. Founded in 1987.

Last year was my first order from Select Seeds.
I am very satisfied with both the seeds and the service from this company.
They carry many of the older varieties, and some rare ones too.

I ordered for the first time this spring and I am so glad I did! I ordered 3 different varieties of Agastache plants. They arrived today in great shape! I'll be ordering again from them!

I think the only reason I never ordered from them before was that I thought they only sold seeds.

I've been buying seeds from Select Seeds for at least 25 years, and I have always had good luck with them, both the seeds and the people. I found them through an article in a long-gone magazine and called Information to see whether there was still a phone number -- pre-Internet days. I called, talked with the owner, ordered some seeds, and still have some volunteers from those popping up.
