Fall is a great time to clean, repair, or replace bird feeders. If you have never fed birds before, winter is a great time to start!

Fall is the perfect time to prepare for the winter feeding of our feathered friends.

If you have been feeding the birds through the summer, now is an excellent time to give the feeders a good scrubbing with a bleach and water solution. Just be sure to rinse well and let them air dry. If you have stored your feeders through the summer, give them a good rinsing off and let them dry thoroughly before use.

Suet is one of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to provide food for birds during the winter. There is no need to worry about seed becoming wet or freezing when you feed the birds suet.
