You'll be very surprised to hear that we grow most of our vegetables in winter here in the warm South.

The most important winter crop in our area is tomatoes, which should be started in September; but it is not too late to pick up your starter plants now and still enjoy a healthy crop through April or May. Peppers, melons, squash and potatoes all like our winter weather here!
