|Out of rooting hormone? Open your kitchen cabinet and grab some cinnamon. Plant stems dipped into it will kill fungus and bacteria to help keep those new cuttings free of disease while rooting. |
Keep in mind that cinnamon acts more as a fungicide than a rooting stimulator. However, when rooting new growth/tip cuttings there are usually rooting auxins in the green growth of the cuttings already, so there is generally no need to add rooting hormone.
