Heat-loving eggplant thrives in containers. Take advantage of your sunniest location and use containers to grow eggplant.

Eggplant is easy to grow. Like all vegetables, it likes lots of sun, but it especially loves lots of heat. The soil in a pot warms up quickly. Plus, you have the choice of being able to move your pot to take advantage of the sunniest spot.

One plant per pot works best. Don't let your pots dry out. Once the fruit starts to set, it needs a constant supply of moisture or it will get tough. Therefore, it is best to choose larger pots.

I have been taking advantage of my sunny driveway location to line up pots with eggplant for the past two years, and I have been harvesting lots of fruit.
