Mulch Those Daylilies with Fall Leaves

Mulching your garden beds helps keep down the weeds, holds in the moisture, and enriches the soil. By mulching in the late fall, I take advantage of an abundant free resource. And come early spring, my daylily beds are ready to spring to life and growth. The leaves acting as mulch last till the following fall, when I repeat the cycle all over again.


Daylily beds look nice and neat after folliage is trimmed and the fall leaves are spread around and between each clump.
