Judicious pruning around the garden can provide materials for holiday decorating.

We have many purchased items for Christmas decorating, items that we have collected over 40+ years, but the most satisfying things to me are designs containing materials from the garden. All kinds of evergreens are an obvious place to start. Add some holly or Oregon grape and then some berried branches. Put them in an urn, a hanging basket, a bucket, a barrel, or container of your choice. Beautiful and easy on the pocketbook.
