The hot and dry weather can turn your green lawn into a brown plain. Who wants a brown lawn? This is a recipe for a great lawn tonic that will turn that brown grass green again.
Lawn Tonic recipe:
•1 can of beer (regular, not light, go cheap)
•1 can of soda (regular, not diet, I think Pepsi works best)
•1/2 cup dish-washing liquid (not antibacterial soap)
•1/2 cup liquid ammonia
•1/2 cup mouthwash
•1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
Mix all these goodies together in a ten-gallon sprayer attached to your garden hose. The soda, brown sugar, and beer act as food for your grass. The dish soap is also an ingredient in a lot of gardening recipes. For really brown grass, spray this concoction on the grass every three weeks. You have to do your part: Keep the grass watered. I water after 6:00 pm so that the sun isn't evaporating the water and burning the grass.
