Some things are meant to be shared, and some things are best enjoyed alone. Of course, those "things" are different for each of us! In your house, which team are you: Team Garden Together, or Team Enjoyed Alone?

We've heard about and seen it first-hand- those couples who both enjoy gardening, and those couples who only one of them enjoys it, and the other is either completely uninterested or grudgingly helps.

Both teams have their place, of course. On one hand, "those who garden together, stay together", and on the other "some of the best things are best savored alone".

The "Together Gardeners" are those who are out together digging in the dirt. Who both enjoy the thrill of a new plant, or the joy of watching their garden flourish. You'll find them both equally involved at the plant swaps and at the nurseries. Probably one of the better perks is that neither has to justify their hobby expense to the other!

The "Enjoy Alone" gardener comes in more flavors. Sometimes the non-gardener gets dragged along to the swaps and nurseries and corralled into the more heavy duty gardening chores. In some cases, one half completely does all gardening, and the other half has his/her own different hobbies and there is no conflict. In other cases, the non-gardener is just pretty nonplussed about gardening, but is happy to help and might come along to a swap (although there could be a small amount of eye rolling involved).

Trish said:This time it is pretty obvious which team we're on! Although I was a pretty reluctant vegetable grower, even from our first apartment, we've always gardened together. We do, however, have "His plants", "her plants", and "our plants"!

Dave said:Definitely "his and her" gardens here, but ultimately they are all "our gardens" and we work together and collaborate on all of them. Definitely Team "Team Gardeners"!

Over to you: In your life, are you on Team Garden Together, or Team Enjoy Alone?
