As I morph into a Cranky Little Old Lady, working in the garden takes just a little bit longer each year, I'm always trying to figure out ways to save time and make it easier on me. One of the things that took a lot of time was deep watering large beds.

I had an AH HA! moment last spring watching the oscillating sprinkler. Wouldn't it be great if you could have it just stay in one place and not move back and forth?

I dismantled the gear thingy that made it move back and forth and after dismantling that I put a shut-off valve on it so I wouldn't have to be running back and forth to the spigot to get the water flow just right and a quick connect on that.

I can now set up the sprinkler and aim it anywhere I want. Of course you can only use it on days when the air is rather still but it works perfectly.
