How I Keep Squirrels from Digging Up My Seedlings and Seeds

There is nothing more disheartening than checking on your seedlings and pots only to discover that the squirrels have been digging in them. This is my solution to keeping squirrels out of my seedlings and pots in the spring.

I just twist tie two Dollar Tree baskets together or place them on top of large pots. I'll also put them on top of areas where I've planted seeds in the ground. It's a must if you want to plant sunflower seeds directly into the ground. Works perfectly!
