Have you stopped by your local Dollar Store lately? It is a great place to find inexpensive items to use for planting your favorite Sempervivum.

I found these cute plastic salsa bowls at 2 for $1.00. Sempervivums need good drainage, so I drilled a few holes in the bottom and planted them. They sit just high enough on their feet that the bottom of the bowls do not touch the ground. This allows a perfect amount of room for great drainage for the plants.

Next, I will fill this little pink $1.00 purse with soil and plant a combination of Sempervivum and Sedum in the top. I can also poke holes through the nylon netting and plant more on the sides of the purse.
