On the top tabs, you'll find the ATP "Lists" feature. This is where you can keep your personal inventory of plants, a want list, and a trading list. There occasionally may be a reason you might want to keep parts of your List private. One of our members was having a bit of trouble figuring out how to do that, so I put together a little "How To" for her.

If you want to make all or part of your own List private, here's how:

First, click on the Lists tab at the top of your home page.

Next, click on the “Manage your own list” link.

On the right-hand side of the screen, you'll see a list of the categories you've created for your own list. If you have a lot of categories, you may have to scroll down. Att the end of your list of categories, you'll see a link to “Manage categories.” Click on that.

That will bring up a screen that says “Managing your categories” in bold print. Next to each category is a little icon with a pencil for editing and one with a trash can for deleting. Click on the pencil icon for the category you want to make private.

That will bring up a screen for Editing a category, giving you the option of either editing the category name or changing the privacy setting. Change the setting (using the pull-down menu) to “private and only visible to me.”

Then click on the green box “Save your change.” (Don't forget this step or you'll have to go back and do it all again!)

Now, if you go back to the Lists tab and look at the public view of your list (the “View your list” link), the items in that category should no longer be visible.

If you want to make your whole list private, you'll have to do this for each category.

It sounds more complicated than it is, and takes more time to explain than to do!
