Lilies and 'Laddin's Lamp

They are the ancestors of all the lovely hybrids that we enjoy in our gardens today, those wild lilies that grow freely in different parts of the world. They have different faces, different names in other places, but I was the lucky one. The beautiful Turk's Cap Lily grew wild and wonderful in the Southern Appalachian mountains of Southeast Kentucky where I grew up. (1,676 words - Read the full article)

Some new reviews from the ATP Green Pages:

GaNinFl recommended Sterrett Gardens and wrote:

I would agree that Sterrett Gardens' daylilies are quality plants. I received my order yesterday, 6 days after placing it, with the Independence Holiday right smack in the middle of it. All fans were more than promised, large and healthy, and the root systems -- oh, my! I received 'Fellow' as a gift and I am more than pleased with their service. They even provided a prepaid post card with an area where you can write comments on the condition in which the plants were received. I will order from Rich and Rikki again! Thanks, guys.

dc0145a recommended Olallie Daylily Gardens and wrote:

Located in the beautiful green mountains of Vermont. We visit Olallie at least once during the season (2.5 hour drive for us) --- stunning gardens to stroll. Go during blueberry season and enjoy picking your own pint (or more) of blueberries. Wonderful, vigorous and healthy plants.

MarkMiller recommended Touch of Nature, Inc. and wrote:

I just received my shipment with the Dutch gourmet frying pan sets. The quality is much better than I had anticipated -- beautiful!. My shipment arrived on the day it was promised. I wrote Bert prior to my purchase and received an immediate courteous reply. I consider this site to be the "Best of the Best" and recommend this site to anyone. Thank you again, Bert. Wonderful product, fantastic service!

dc0145a recommended Saska Daylily Farm and wrote:

Absolutely fantastic. Large double fans, vigorous and healthy. I ordered Primal Scream in May; today is July 8th and this plant has multiple blooms already. I also ordered Rocket Booster in May and had it shipped to my son (he's a rocket propulsion engineer -- perfect lily for him :)) He sent me a picture this past weekend of his plant in full bloom. Love Saska Daylilies.

dc0145a recommended Bridgewood Gardens and wrote:

Bridgewood Gardens is one of my favorite sources for hostas. They ship healthy, vigorous plants that "take off" once in the garden.

Toni recommended Outside Pride and wrote:

I am very impressed with Outside Pride. They shipped my products very promptly, the product was more than I had expected, and everything germinated extremely well. The photo below is just to show all of the wonderful info they print on the label, which I find very helpful. I will be ordering from them again.

gardengus recommended Santa Rosa Gardens and wrote:

I won a gift certificate from ATP for Santa Rosa Gardens in March. Their selection of plants is extensive and diverse, and this made it a bit hard to choose. All plants arrived on schedule as they had informed me of the date . All plants were in great shape, were packed well, and are currently doing well in my garden. Great communication and information from Santa Rosa. From my experience, I would give this company my highest recommendation.

mnorberry recommended The Lily Garden and wrote:

Ever since I started growing lilies, the best place to order and get information is from Judith Freeman (The Lily Garden). Many times I saw a lily, checked her website, and found what I was looking for. She always ships the best-looking products and great bonuses. It might be where I live on the west coast, but I have never had a bad/mislabeled or dead lily from her business. I recommend her highly. Mike Norberry Arcata, Calif 95521

Claudia recommended Totally Tomatoes and wrote:

Ordered all my tomato seeds this year from them. They have a great variety and their seeds have germinated very well for me. Prices are very reasonable and shipping was very quick. Highly recommend this company.

We keep growing, because ATP is where all the excitement is these days! Check out these numbers from last week:
