Image Crepe Myrtle (Lagerstroemia 'Ebony Fire')
PID: 542514

Gallery: Entire plant
Date submitted: July 15, 2015
Caption: This plant was sold in a 1 gallon container. I noticed that it appears to have two distinct trunks and may try to separate them and grow them individually. A beautiful small ornamental tree. I bought it hoping that it would be a beacon for the south migrating hummingbirds in the Fall. If not, I think it will be a good tree for them to perch in since it drops it's leaves in Winter. A wonderful cultivar!!!

Caption: This plant was found in with my daylily border in a mulch and sandy area of my front yard. Very invasive from what I've been told. Seeds likely came in the mulch or fill dirt that was replaced in that area when we had our septic drain field redone.
