I grew Petunia Double Cascade Orchid Mist from seed this year specifically to plant in a hanging basket. I also gave plants to my neighbor for her hanging basket when the petunia it came with died. The flowers are large and showy. It also continues to flower well even without deadheading, but I think it was misnamed because the plants do not cascade. For the most part, they are upright in both baskets. I will definitely grow them again because the flowers are gorgeous, but I'll plant them in the ground or in a planter. I think the wave petunias would do better in hanging baskets.
There is nothing shy about this bright cheery petunia. A single plant would be an exclamation point in a mixed bed and a grouping of several plants would be spectacular. Nothing subtle here.
This variegated petunia is quite interesting. It does very well here in my part of the South, spreads and blooms like crazy. I haven't found anything not to like about it and it always elicits positive comments from people who see it.
I've decided these are the only petunia plants I'll buy every single year at the nursery. Unfortunately, they haven't reseeded for me, but they just out-perform the rest of the nursery petunias I've tried. Excellent on repeat blooming and doesn't have to be babied. Well, I also like Ragin' Cajun, but I propagate the one I got at a trade, so I don't have to buy any.
