Large fruits, very meaty and heavy. Good "old fashioned" tomato flavor. Large, indeterminate vine will produce over a long period.

Very good flavor and nice big fruit, if you do not mind the wait. I have to cut the fruit from the vine because of softness and thin skin. I have grown at least one in my garden for several years. The late green tomatoes (the ones you have to pick before frost) are good for frying.

A nice slicer tomato with good old fashioned flavor and meaty texture. Not a bad producer once it gets going, this one is still giving nice sized fruits during our hot summer months.

Mortgage Lifter is one of the heirloom tomatoes that is very easy to find as seedlings in the spring at our local nurseries. I find it to be a nice tasting tomato that is too prone to coming down with fungal diseases.

"Mortgage Lifter" does not do well in my zone 8a north Georgia garden. The plant and tomatoes start out nice, but as the tomatoes ripen, they get sun scald on the shoulders and rot. I have tried this variety twice with the same results.
