    "Paeonia 'Felix Crousse', (3-DB-R) lactiflora cultivar Peony, (Crousse, 1881), USDA Hardiness Zone 3, Medium height, double, bomb form, raspberry red petals, weak stems, dependable, needs support, midseason bloomer, Michigan Bloom Month 5-6.

    Still popular after 137 years. Bred by Félix Crousse (1840-1925) Nancy, France who has close to 100 peonies registered with APS. He acquired Comte de Cussy's peony collection from Calot in 1872. "

Potted up one new growing root purchased from Costco yesterday, 2024. Growing in greenhouse. Other Felix Crousse plants was bought last year, but I may have waited too long to plant it. Not this time! Planted right away.

Planted two healthy looking roots in two pots, then will plant in the ground once it has started growing. Large tuber, root purchased with another variety, separately packaged, from Costco in 2023.
