This tree native to central China is rare in cultivation in the US and in Europe. A few arboretums have some in the US. The Arnold Arboretum in Boston has one specimen. It is similar to the American Black Tupelo, but smaller. Its leaves are about 4 to 6 inches long. I don't see any purpose in growing it in the nursery trade in the US because it is not any better than any American species. The use of native species in their native country is overall better for ecology and aiding native insects and wildlife.
