This sport of Eugene Furst is plagued by black spot, as all of the hybrid perpetual roses in my garden are, but it's redeemed by the beauty of its blooms. They are sometimes a true red and sometimes verging on purple, but they always have a pristine white serrated edge, notched as if they had been trimmed with pinking shears. The scent ranges from mild to moderate, depending on the time of day. I have two of these. One grows in part-shade and is just as vigorous and floriferous as the one in full sun.
