Susceptible to black spot in humid summer weather here in Tennessee. Tolerant of varied soil conditions and wet soil as well as fairly good drought tolerance. A strong climber once established. Blooms tend to bleach out to a very pale pink with long periods in the intense sun but still very pretty.

There are at least two 'Climbing Cecile Brunner' roses. One clone is pretty much a once-bloomer, while the other reblooms throughout the growing season.

I'm curious if the reblooming clone is as much of a monster as the once-bloomer. I would expect not, since the energy used to keep blooming ought to check plant growth somewhat. I don't have good evidence to back up that supposition, however.

My own reblooming 'Climbing Cecile' is not a monster, but it is planted in a difficult spot...
