When I saw the pictures of this iris, I knew I had to have it despite my general lack of success in keeping Joe Ghio's gorgeous irises alive in my rainy climate. This year, it bloomed. It is every bit as amazing as the picture --- no ---- more amazing. The flower is huge. It glows. It is worth every struggle to grow. If I were the person giving out the Wister Medal --- this would be a winner. Try it! It will leave you breathless.
