    Paeonia 'Cytherea', (3-SD-PK) lactiflora x peregrina Hybrid Peony, (Saunders, 1953), USDA Hardiness Zone 4, 24" tall, semi-double, deep pink, fades, cupped petals, no side-buds, midseason bloomer, rarely seeds, adventitious roots, strong stems, Bloom Month 5. APS Gold Medal Award 1980. Award of Landscape Merit 2009. Deep orange-pink when first open, later fades to lighter shades of pink and salmon. Relatively short.
