It is not unusual for Willow Dean Smith to poly in my garden. I get some poly blooms each year and that has been going on as long as I have been growing it. Either way, poly or plain, the flowers are exceptionally pretty. Blooms mid late for me and continues blooming into the late season here. Loves to set bee pods which I always have to snap off.

'Willow Dean Smith' has ((You Look Marvelous × sdlg) × She Talks to Angels).
"You Look Marvelous" is one of my favorites and I love it! It is also in the parentage of "She Talks to Angels".
No wonder 'Willow Dean Smith' is such a beautiful and special Daylily!

I "discovered" this DL at a friend's garden and had to have it. The blooms are beautiful and the scapes are amazing. The plant habit looks to be strong as well. I'll be using it in my hybridizing program.

This daylily, when crossed with Old Time Italian, produces very good looking offspring. I got some seeds on the LA with this cross, WILLOW DEAN SMITH x OLD TIME ITALIAN. The seeds gave me a couple of seedlings that have the nice look of Willow Dean Smith.
