Walker's Low is my favorite Catmint. Very easy care and never needs watering. Once it starts blooming in the spring it just keeps going until frost.

Located on the north shore of Nassau County Long Island, NY zone 6/7 were it is humid in the summer.

This is a very long lived perennial in my garden. The best show of flower color is when grown in hot dry conditions.
After the first flush of bloom it can be cut back by half and will re-bloom, this also keeps it manageable. This plant grows fast and can get floppy.

Cats : This plant is the same family as catnip (Nepeta cataria) I have four and they never bother this plant till I cut it then it is of some interest for a couple days.

Catmint (Nepeta racemosa) 'Walker's Low' produces abundant lavender blue blossoms throughout the growing season. Bees love catmint blossoms, and cats may cozy up to it as well. 'Walker's Low' will grow 2 to 2.5 feet tall. Does well in medium to dry soils. It enjoys sun, although it may do best with some afternoon shade in hot southern climates.
