I love doubles and will be hybridizing lots of double daylilies when they start blooming.Dips and Tets

Would love to see everyones hybridized and named doubles.

Who is a hybridizer that specializes in doubles?

I know the Joiners have been hybridizing doubles a long time and I am sure there are others. Doubles are kind of growing on me. I have a very small doubles garden but really would like more. Here are some that I have.

The uploader is not working right this morning. Please bare with me and I will try and get them uploaded.

David Kirchoff does doubles. He has the whole truffle line. I personally love Krofts old hose in hose doubles. I am a sucker for Dutch Yellow Truffle ( Lyle posted above). I just love that flower and it gets a tall scape. Ted Petit actually makes some very nice doubles and they actually look as good or better in person than in the pictures, which is actually a shock, as his pictures...um...well n/m.
Ive got to do something about my pictures before next season. I got a new computer this year, and there is not a flower program for it. My older pictures are all being held hostage.Thumb of 2012-09-20/gardenglory/e7a1a0

first two are seedlings, that are on the best plant ive ever grown. Just cant get that pretty flower on it yet.
3rd and 5th picture are doubles that were in Jeff Salters greenhouse this spring.
4th picture is a Ted Petits. I think its Ninth Millineum, but not 100%

Hemlady the only Truffle I have is Shangri La Truffle. I have had it for 2 years now and it is flourishing. I am north of you so I would say if you like the Truffles series try one and see how it does. I know i have not been disappointed by mine.

I only have a few flowers that are slow to increase for me. I do grow alot of Evergreens and my daylilies are all field grown with no mulch. They do very well here. I agree with you that it is good to able to compare notes.

Hey, all you double lovers -- you have to check out the two doubles that Bill Waldrop has come up with, pictured in his blog. I think the first one is totally amazing!

I have to agree with the comments on Dutch Yellow Truffle. It was wonderful this year. Dutch Yellow Truffle had some of the most consistant peony shaped blooms I've seen. Also it was colorfast. Up there in my top favorites doubles is Cluster Muster. It bloomed for a long time with multiple mid season repeat. It is grown in full sun and still managed to retain almost all of it's color. Points given for being virtually colorfast and sunfast...Maryl

Aztec Ways

That's it for the A's from this season. I've gotta get some dishes done and will be back with more later or tomorrow.

Cindy, re the Truffles.....the ones David's done since moving to KY should be fine for you. They'll be hardier than those hybridized in FL
