Same here. Not easy to get those photos.

One of my favorite salvias. I can almost smell it by just thinking about it, or looking at a photo. The hummers sure love this one.

I forgot to add my S. 'Black and Blue'. I will have to get another plant this year. The painters killed mine when they were doing the house exterior.

Gorgeous pics ladies! Thumbs up

I love Pineapple Sage also! Very beautiful red flowers and that wonderful pineapple scent of the leaves! Lovey dubby

Wished it didn't bloom so late here, as I don't know how many Hummers get to enjoy it before the frost and freeze zaps it. I just replant it each year. Really love the Golden Delicious Pineapple Sage with the gorgeous colored leaves with the red flowers!

I dont believe there are any plants that are deer resistant. If deer are hungry they will eat anything.
Generally I think they leave salvias alone, might be the scent.

I saw 10 deer last night.I thought we only had 4.They come thru the yard regularly and eat the birdseed,Hydrangeas and Heucheras or anything that sticking up thru the snow.
I used to freak out but regular repellent spraying starting March ,keeps them out of the garden all summer.

Jo Ann, I agree that hungry deer will eat just about anything (we have them in our back woods), but for the purposes of the database, there is a place to check "deer resistant" for the more deer resistant varieties of plants.

So most of the Salvias that you all have experience with are generally deer resistant?
I garden for the pollinators.

The deer here don't seem to bother things. There is so much else in their natural habitat that they seem to prefer.
