Some things are meant to be shared, and some things are best enjoyed alone. Of course, those "things" are different for each of us! In your house, which team are you: Team Garden Together, or Team Enjoyed Alone?

I started out gardening alone, but as time went on DH was pressed to help me from time to time, usually when something requiring brawn needed to be done. After several years he now wanders out when I am in the garden and starts doing his own thing too. I have yet to see him there working alone but we've made good progress I think!!

Same here. I putter for short periods every day but dh helps out when asked. For a big project or major cleanup I have a friend who I can pay and I work alongside him. He is a great worker but needs direction. I have back and foot problems so this arrangement gets a lot done enjoyably for us both.
