How do you get rose seeds? Do they come out of the rose hips?

My first rose opened today, ran into the woods and took wild white roses and pollinated it.
Hopefully it takes before it rains.

Will be saving pollen from the Dr.Huey to pollinate some pink wild roses that bloom later in the season. It was suppose to be Don Juan, guess that died out.It was my first rose so I had no idea.Had it for about 10 years and it sure can survive through most anything.
