Keith's Delight was one of Ralph's hybrids, and it's gotten quite large. I'm pretty sure I got it in the same order as my two Wedding Cakes, the last year that Sequoia was open, when he was 101 if I remember correctly. They were all tiny little plants when I received them. I lost one of the two Wedding Cakes after the first season. But the second one has come back three years now, even though it is quite small and I do nothing to protect it in the winter. The first year it produced those strange, rubbery, ruffled, mauve, pink, and green tinted petals. Since then they've looked a little more "normal". I hope they revert back to their strange appearance some day. I typically don't get but two bloom cycles out of it each season, and sometimes they are weirdly shaped, but I still treasure that little odd gem.
