I've noticed some Sempervivum are **extremely** prolific, well-deserving of their common name "Live-Forever".

It's good to know this, so they can be given a wide berth at planting.

The first one that comes to mind is Maria Laach. Extremely prolific and tough.
S. funckii is also very tough and very prolific.

Here are the ones that are heavy producers for me. These are ones that produce at least 20 offsets per rosette. Some I will have to do a count on, others there is no doubt that they are way over the mark of 20.

Wow, what a list, Lynn. Thanks so much for providing it! Maybe that's why I have 5 from that list because other people were generous enough to share some of those "heavily produced " offsets with me...Thanks all!

There might be more to add to the list, but can't be sure since most have been through a move in the last two months. This spring I thinned them all out, only to have many of them already taking over.

i have taken 30 rooted chicks out so far this year and you can't tell if any are missing from pot

Red Beauty is one of the oldest semps I have and one I have liked a long time. Pictures never seem to catch the subtle beauty of this one.

Love those happy Jovis...always strike me as happy cuz they are rolling around!

They make me feel that way also Janice. And I think they are the toughest of them all.

I'm going to be trying jovi rollers between stepping stones as filler because they are so prolific. We'll see how it works.

Great idea tabby. Also it seems the size of the little rollers would work well, rolling/fitting into all the crevices. Can't wait to see photos of that.
