Peach with PBF. Older from the 60s or 70s my neighbor couldn't remember for sure when she got it but it was passed on to her, she did not purchase it and she got it in the 60s or 70s so it could be even older than that. And it tries to rebloom but usually doesn't get to because the frost gets it.

Check out Jean Guymer, on the AIS site. I can't really see the "form ' of the flower in your pic, but pink, or pink-ish rebloomers are sorta' scarce. There's Beverly Sills, and Vanity, both "warm weather" re-bloomers, but from what I CAN see of form, in your pic, both those would be out of the running. How tall does she get ? "NOID", or "Re-bloomer", either one, gets my attention! And when BOTH are used...I get positively GIDDY !!...Arlyn

LOL Arlyn, you are so funny! I see this in the garden as a peach not a pink but that is just me. My better pics are locked in the other computer for now. Let me see if I can find another shot for you from somewhere else. You did catch the purple based foliage didn't you?? That should narrow it down quite a bit.

Oh, and nothing fancy about this flower, just a plain ole iris, no ruffles or serrated edges or anything.

No more modern than the '70s I'd say & probably earlier than that. the pinks & peaches began appearing in the 1950s as people began to figure out the genes.

She would not have planted it until the 60s or 70s. She could not remember for sure. They moved into the house sometime in the early 60s. I have forgotten exactly what year, she was 86 and just recently sold the place and moved to TX with her daughter. I know they were given to her so they had to have come from someone else's established clump. And that folks is all I know about that.

Sooo, Arlyn maybe 50ish with purple based foliage. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Does that make you any less crazy?? Sticking tongue out Sticking tongue out

It may prove a bit difficult to confirm though because I am not finding any others out there. Confused
For the right price I will tell you what it is. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Did you find a tag ? You might as well spill the beans about the name, as suspense makes me nervous, and when I'm nervous, I get excited, and when I get excited, at this advanced age, I'm liable to wet myself ! And you don't want to be responsible for THAT, do you ?! Rolling on the floor laughing ...Arlyn

No, I don't want to be responsible for THAT!!!
No, I didn't find a tag but I spent most of my weekend chasing clues and I think it is Spindrift, Loomis 1929. Now we just need to find someone who has it to confirm. I am afraid that is going to be the tricky part.

Here is another problem with Spindrift, HIPS says Loomis 1944, AIS says Loomis 1929. Who is correct and how does one find out?
