How tall is it? How long ago did you acquire it? Does it always bloom in these colors or is there some variation?

Got it last year. It's about 2 feet tall. Always blooms this colour. White centre with pink edges....fades to a total dark pink as it gets old.

Interesting! My knee-jerk response when I saw your photos was Music Box, which I also acquired last year. The photos in the database are a bit misleading. It usually looks like your photos.

Without hearing anything about it, the photo resembles what Secret looked like here.

I've seen Secret bloom in those colors, but never in clusters.

If it's only two feet tall, could it be a mini? Bees Knees, perhaps?

I was going to do an advanced search on HMF, but the site appears to have gone to hell. The roses are still there, but the members and all of the photos and comments they contributed are gone, at least at this time.

Nope, not a mini. It died right back to the ground last winter. My gauge of height is off, the bloom cluster is closer to 3 feet tall.
The blooms are as big as the palm of my hand, you can see my hand in the first photo.

Lee Anne - Sheer Elegance? Mine blooms just like that and my zone's pretty close to yours. Mine died to the ground as well with winterkill, so mine's also about 2' tall right now.

I'll try to get a picture of a full bloom once one blooms fully! Provided the cane doesn't break again... Thumbs down

A photo of Summer Fashion just came up as the "Random Plant" on my home page. It's a possibility. It's a floribunda, so it would bloom in clusters. It's rather obscure these days, however, and probably wouldn't be something you'd find at a local nursery.

Oh, it's more coral than I thought. It's lovely, but it doesn't look like anything I'm growing, so I'm afraid I can't help. Do you remember where you bought it? Didn't you get some roses from Palatine last year? It's such a lovely cluster and reminds me of the Kordes fairy tale roses.

Whatever it is, I want one! It reminds me of 'Mon Cheri', which does bloom in clusters once in a while. The coloring on it is variable, though, not consistent like your photo. Sure hope someone can identify this beauty! Wow!

I wonder if there's any chance you were able to buy this rose:
http://www.kordes-rosen.com/ga...
Marie Rottrova.
We have a few nurseries around here who sell roses before they are officially introduced.
Your rose reminds me of a rose I received a few years ago as a J & P test rose. It eventually became 'California Dreamin'. It actually behaved more like a floribunda for me, maybe because I didn't prune it.

Cindi - Not California Dreamin'. I have that rose. Doesn't fade dark, just stays pink/white. And hers is way more red than CD ever is for me. And blooms singularly, not in clusters.

Lee Anne - Maybe Cherry Parfait? It's GORGEOUS...

It reminds me of 'Color Magic'. Yes, it's classified as a HT, but many hybrid teas will bloom both singly and in small clusters.

On the rose page, in the NOTES section on HMF, John Sheldon explains about phototropic characteristics, which would explain the variance in the bloom color.

And Color Magic is pretty easily found. I saw it at at least 3 different nurseries this year. I may have to pick one up if I find it again! I love this rose!
