Gotta come out of lurkdom for this! I think I posted most of these previously during the summer, but I hope you all don't mind if I do it again. I just love both Margo and Jim's plants! I'll have more 1st time blooms from them this year. WHOOPEE

Planet Max - 2 fans, planted previous fall. The Sky is Falling is in the background.

Dances with giraffes has been on my list for quite a while now. One day I'll find someone who has it in stock at a price I can handle. I saw Margo & Jim give a talk this fall at Lilyhemmer. Fabulous people and a very entertaining talk .

I have to add my two cents to this thread also. Most of us complain when daylily season is done and the blooms are finished. Of course the answer is to to get late and extra late bloomers. Woodhenge has hybridized lots and lots of really late bloomers. They have mid season too but I only buy their late and extra late bloomers.

They are not blooming yet but I will add my pictures as they do bloom. Expand your horizons. Look into some UFO late bloomers by Jim and Margo.

Dances with Giraffes is just gorgous Sticking tongue out

I have two late bloomers from Jim Murphy that look so much alike it is always impossible for me to tell them apart. Confused At least one is tall while the other is short which is the biggest difference in my garden. Don't plant these two side by side. Blinking

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER which is tall. Looking confused in this picture with petals going every which way.

Planet Max is a real beauty. I just love that purple color on it.

I am really so pleased with my Murphy and Reed late and extra late bloomers. I know they have regular season bloomers too but many are in the late blooming catalogy. And those late bloomers add so much to the garden Big Grin

They just announced the Fall 2011 intros and they are up on the website. I was dissapointed that there were were no new lates or extra lates.

There is an extra early that does look very interesting to me called BEFORE.

Hey, Rita, BEFORE looked very interesting to me, too, and I ordered it! I have very few extra earlies, and this is a shortie, only 16" tall, so I can squeeze it in somewhere pretty easily.

I do have extra earlies but it is difficult to find anything but yellow. Thats why I liked this one. Not your typical extra early small flowered yellow daylily. I didn't order because I really would rather have late bloomers but was tempted. Please be sure and post pictures next year when it blooms.
