Well, you guys got these tired old bones motivated and truth be told as I was going thru these it brought back old memories and made my eyes light up again too. Some of these I still have , some are deleted, some are in the back weedpatch somewhere. Anyway if you get tired looking at them let me know. I have plenty more. I still do my crosses but not near to the extent that I once did, but it is my favorite past time along with my fiddle. Have fun and would love to hear your comments. These are all TB's by the way.

Funny, while I was looking at those you posted on the Stripped thread, I almost asked you to start a thread to show us your creations, and here you have it. Hurray! I would buy Numbers 2, 4, 11, 12, and 13! They seem to be enough different from other intros to merrit consideration in my book. I like the broad falls you have going. That number 11 blue self, sure seems to be a nice blue color. I think Number 12 is my favoite of them, such unique colors in the standard, and nicely formed. Thanks for sharing them, and if you have more, I'd enjoy seeing them.

Number 12 was my favorite too. So different -- love the soft gold colors shining through. I also loved #11 (a beautiful shade of blue and great overall form) -- but my second choice was #6. I love lavender Irises -- and this one is just a joy to behold.

Whereabout in southern Indiana are you? My Mom grew up in Indiana -- I've spent a lot of time there over the years.

Thnks Tom for the nice comments. That was my best blue cross I ever made. Had several really blue siblings from that one. ((Altruist x Breakers) X Caribbean Dream) I will attach a couple more here of the sibs. Of course these were shot in the evening light as you can see and that intensifies the blue as you know, but still they were awesome blues. I think I only have one left here in the front yard that I saved. I pretty much lost my whole program for a few years after a painful marriage breakup. Gave a lot of things to friends and neighbors. Sold some to the locals and lost many in neglected weed patches. I still have the pics though and since I found ATP, I have been sorting through them. I still have several sdlgs. and about 175 named varieties now, so things are moving again. Nice to cheer everyone up on a cold winters day with a little color. I am just an amateur at this but I have introduced a few with Rockytop Garden. Phil Williams runs that and he visits occasionally to help me select. It is just a hobby that I love and it keeps me active as I get older. I am a stickler for wide falls and good pictures and I have a better eye than I used to. Rolling my eyes.

Well, I'm glad you're back on track with your hobby. You have some very nice crosses, and I'm interested in knowing which ones you still have.

Here is a few more before I have to go take care of some things in town. I have years worth of pics in my folders and will have to 'diggit' out of there. LOL Rolling my eyes.

In the last group I am a sucker for pinks and really like the intense yellow with the white on the fall and the near orange shoulders. Keep them coming Thumbs up

Do love your seedlings, especially the blues. Your plants have grown well in our area & the 2 new intros which came into our club auction from rocky top were snapped up by an iris hybridizer.

OK -- so our new friend Marvin Davis is THE Marvin Davis. Green Grin!

Upon learning this, I immediately went to my own database to see how many Davis Irises I have. I'm sorry to report that I have only one: American Maid. But -- what an Iris!! It bloomed in my garden last Spring for the first time and instantly became one of my very favorites.

So -- on behalf of Iris lovers everywhere -- thank you Mr. Davis for this fine Iris!! Lovey dubby

I only have one as well. It is "Cowboy Girl" which I got this last Summer, so it has yet to bloom here in PA.

Greg -- I just saw that one on the new 2014 Schreiner's catalog (internet version). It caught my eye -- very unusual Iris, and very fancy. I didn't realize that it was one of Marvin's. Gonna go look at it again!!

Didn't have to go back to the Schreiner's catalog -- I found it right here in the ATP database. It's beautiful!! Lovey dubby
