I've been following our forecast closely. NOAA says:

POSSIBILITY OF WINTRY PRECIP TONIGHT/EARLY MONDAY
MORNING. EVEN THOUGH MANY LOCATIONS HAVE ALREADY REACHED OR ARE
NEAR AVERAGE LAST FREEZE DATES WINTER WEATHER CAN STILL HAPPEN IN
THIS REGION THIS LATE IN THE SEASON. NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING TEMPS
ARE LIKELY NORTH OF A KOSA-KELD LINE. MORE NLY COMPONENT TO LOW
LVL WINDS STILL KEEP CONFIDENCE HIGHER IN COLD AIR DAMMING BY THE
OUACHITAS TO THE NORTH. HOWEVER...ENOUGH COLD AIR SHOULD FILTER INTO
SRN AR TO SUPPORT A LIGHT MIX OF RAIN...SLEET...AND SNOW. BESIDES
THE ISSUE OF HAVING ENOUGH COLD AIR TO SUPPORT WINTRY PRECIP
TYPES...THERE IS STILL A QUESTION REGARDING IF THERE WILL BE ENOUGH
MOISTURE IN THE AREA FOR PRECIP. MODELS MAINTAIN SOME LIGHT QPF
DURING THE EARLY MORNING HRS SO WILL KEEP SLIGHT CHANCE POPS IN
THE FCST. IF WINTRY PRECIP DOES OCCUR...IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE
MINIMAL.

TEMPS SHOULD QUICKLY REBOUND BACK INTO THE 70S AREAWIDE BY TUESDAY
DUE TO STRONG SLY FLOW AND WAA AHEAD OF THE NEXT FAST MOVING FRONT
DUE TO ARRIVE LATE TUESDAY. ECMWF STILL FCSTING QPF WITH THIS
FRONT BUT DO NOT THINK THERE WILL BE ENOUGH TIME FOR SUFFICIENT
MOISTURE RETURN TO SUPPORT ANY RAIN CHANCES. TEMPS MAY BE KNOCKED
BACK DOWN BY A COUPLE OF DEGREES BUT SHOULD REMAIN NEAR OR ABOVE
CLIMO THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE FCST PERIOD. NEXT SIGNIFICANT
CHANCES FOR RAIN NOT EXPECTED UNTIL NEXT WEEKEND. /09/

Tonight our forecast calls for 34 degrees and I'm expecting frost, and I think this'll be our last one for the season. I'm transplanting all my tomatoes and peppers tomorrow.

I had to check, but our low tonight is forecast to be 38°. The rest of the week will be beautiful with lows climbing to 52° by Wed. night.
I bought quite a few starter plants from the FFA group at one of the high schools. They really need to be transplanted. Looks like tomorrow will be a good day, 65° with sunny skies.

I'm opening the greenhouses today. It will be over 80° this afternoon. Plants will cook under the plastic. I think we're done with winter. Thumbs up

Well, we got frost this morning and I expect it again tonight. Good thing we covered the tomatoes and peppers, but so many other things were up! Sad Sunflowers were nearly a foot tall and they are all gone. Also, I had planted out rows of basil that I couldn't cover and I expect they are all black by now.

This is the second year in a row where we got a mid April frost.

Oh man, that's terrible. We did not get frost this AM but we are supposed to get down close to freezing tomorrow AM. This afternoon I am bringing in all my plumeria, pepper plants, tomato plants, and bunches of various tropical plants. I got to leave them all out for a week, so that's good. I hope, hope, hope that this is the last of winter!

I have dozens of small fiddle leaf ficus, starghorn ferns, and bromeliads sitting on shelves suspended between my oak trees and I guess I will just cover them with a sheet and hope for the best. The oak's have leafed out some and should/might protect them from any frost, so hopefully the sheets will be enough.

31.8° last night, barely freezing, probably just briefly. Hope this was the last one! But Mama Nature doesn't give any guarantees in these hills.

It didn't freeze here last night, but I didn't want to tempt fate. Hauled the plumerias onto the patio under the deck. I got up at 2:26 AM to see the eclipse and it was still and cold outside, but never froze. Areas near the creeks had freezing temps. Most people were prepared, as the news coverage warnings were nearly constant!

Supposed to rain for Easter weekend. We had just enough rain this week to grow the grasses and weeds high enough to crowd the bluebonnets. They had been spectacular along Loop 360 by us, but they are now hard to distinguish.

Sorry to hear folks lost plants to the freeze. Such is the life of a gardener, though. We got an inch of rain from the storm, but missed the hail that pelted cars and people all over town.

NOAA said our low last night would be 36. Woke up to a frost covered pasture. But we covered all our tomatoes and peppers again last night. I expect this to be our last frost for sure.

Yep, I think/hope the same. I will spend all day putting out a couple of hundred tropical plants (not orchids yet) and putting a couple of bell pepper and several tomato varieties into 2-3 gal. pots. Ultimately they will go into the garden or into 10-20 gal. pots, but I need to get some of my garlic pulled before I have the space to do all that.

Other than hail and rain, we've been spared the freezes and other bad weather that has affected central Texas the last couple of months. Spring started for us a couple of weeks ago. We took the big hoop house down, and I was surprised how well everything looked. The heat that built up in there each time we had unseasonably warm days (80s), caused the tropicals to grow. Some of the leaves were damaged because they touched the plastic when they were enjoying the heat. I may have lost a few ferns and brugs, but it's still too early to tell. Unfortunately, my backyard looks like a pot burial ground. Pots are everywhere!
I believe I'll be buying tomatoes again this spring! I just haven't had incentive to work a bed for them. Still in 4" pots and growing!

Glad you had a successful hoop house this winter. I seem to remember some disasters in the past.
So where do you grow your tomatoes?
