Hi All! I'm new here. Looking for places to settle in and wondering to which regional forum a Baltimorean belongs?

Somewhere in that awkward place between Northeast and Midsouth... but not really either... is me. So where do most of the people from the MD-DC-VA congregate?

Thanks!
Karen

Welcome!

I think all our regional forums started out as Cubits several years ago. When we started ATP many of the Cubits groups came over and brought their forums with them, but the Mid-Atlantic folks chose to stay there. Consequently, we never did create a regional forum for the Mid-Atlantic.

I'm certainly up for it if there are others from your region who'd like to have one here at ATP.

You could also use the Member Map (found under Goodies on the main page) to locate folks who live near you, and then view their profile and see where they are hanging out by their recent posts.

Thanks, all! Since I just got here, I'll wait a little while before I insist on a MAG forum. Smiling

Welcome! Welcome! Wise decision. Yes, it's always wise to learn the ropes before hoisting a new sail.

I'm in Savannah, Georgia which has me stuck in the Mid South group.

Welcome! typwc! Deb's suggestion is a good one. Smiling You can also use that same idea to peek to see if anyone in your area has posted any multi-plant photos to see what they're growing. Big Grin

Hi Karen Welcome!

I am so glad to see you here. I too was kind of wondering where I belonged when I came here because Mid Atlantic kind of fits me too, but I can guarantee you will be happy in the Northeast, or where ever you decide to hang out. Some of the fun posts are in the Sandbox, which is pretty much whatever you want to say within reason on any topic you want to talk about. When we get down to business of gardening, we then go to the forum that fits our topic.
I am going to send you a TMail because I have been reading some of your posts on another site and I had a difficult time keeping quiet.

Hey! Welcome, Cat!
I haven't really had much time to get totally settled, @Catmint20906. I've been super busy with "real life". So glad you're here though! Try the Northeast forum. The Perennials forum is great too; the 'What's Blooming' thread in particular is lots of fun.
I will think about the MAG idea a bit more, @Dave. I think there are probably a lot of MAG-ers floating around in the ether. How much participation are you expecting before you'll make the forum? Maybe in the Fall when my life settles down after school starts again, I'll put a call out.
Thanks!

My only concern is that we don't want "ghost town forums" so that's why I don't create one until there's a good sized handful of people who want it. I figure if there are 5 people who want a place for mid atlantic chat, then that's plenty for me. Thumbs up

There are several of us from NJ...some in North Jersey may be more comfortable with NE since they are so close to NY. What states would you need members from. Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania ..maybe we could take a count? I would be happy to move to MAG if it helps others who really want it. Count me in if you need me.

What is happening here? Did I miss something or are we on hold waiting to hear from Dave. I just do not want to miss it if he decides to do a regional for our area. I find it very interesting to share with the area rather than just the State.

I think we're waiting for a large enough showing of hands before we make the forum.

MAG == Mid Atlantic Gardening
