Been looking for that for quite awhile with no luck. It's from Africa originally, if I recall? Please let us know if you find it.

The 'Mom' in me is wondering...
Going back to the original post here, I wonder how old the daughter is and can this 'search' be used as a learning tool. If the daughter participates in the search and there is success in finding the plant, she may be more likely to take ownership and take better care of the plant. Thumbs up

You might let start seeds for plants such as Juncus effusus cv. Spiralis/Corkscrew Rush or Albuca spiralis 'Frizzle Sizzle' or other plants which twist/turn/spiral while the search progresses.

After a bit of looking, I found a possible source for Moraea tortilis seeds. I have no idea as to cost etc but there is a site and an email address. The first link is where they advertise, and the second link is the site.

The item is on a list on that site (Being Plants) but not available to purchase. Perhaps it is considered a 'special order' item. For the special order items the site says to email her at [email protected]

The search continues...

Edited to add:
Here is a site which is promising. At the moment they do not have the M. tortilis but new products are added often so it may be worth checking later.

In searching, I found a couple references to Silver hills nursery, but each one said they were already sold out for the year... I did find a couple other Moraea species that have the curling foliage. It seems that there are about 125 species on Moraea in South Africa.

Hello @fayecary I do not think any of us here have found the Moraea tortillis as of yet. You may want to try this link.
