It survived well in winter 2012-2013 (zone 9a), but the last winter ... harsh winter of 2013-2014, it ... flew in Cosmos. Sad

That's a stunner, Justin. Phooey on the loss. Will you try it again?

Thank you Tee!
I wish to try but ... I will see. I don't have good conditions to keep, by winter, the plants inside the house or to protect them.
However, this hibiscus is gorgeous. I'm sure if I was able to plant it in more sunniest spot in the garden, the blooming would have been more abundant. But need protection by winter, or in some winters like the last. (It is about zone 9a)

I know that feeling. That's why I have no tropical Hibiscuses at this time. I'm always tempted but just don't have space to keep them indoors during the winter. And this last winter was very cold. Sad

Hibiscus 'Cosmic Dancer', I planted it in my daughter's garden.

From three hibiscus, only two survived the last winter. But one has only two big leaves, on a sprig appearing at the root.
